I am a member of Faith and I was wondering what your opinion would be on a couple who has had a child out of wedlock, not together currently. However both parties are Christian and love God but the male doesnt see the female’s point of view on making it right in the eye of God by getting married and living a Christian life and raising the child together in a home. If counseling is necessary to make sure the union is perfect, I am willing to do it. He is as well but he says he doesnt want a relationship like that. How do I get this guy to see what I am saying without making it seem as if I am trying to shove anything down his throat. I just simply want to do whats right. I understand sex before marriage is not fitting before God and we messed up there but this is our only child and dated for 8 years and was engaged. I just want to raise my son well just as I and his father was with both of our parents married. How do I get this man to see the errors of his way? He has found God but doesnt see the point in trying to make it work for the sake of God and the child… what would God want?
