(Springfield, NJ )—Oasis-Church-NJ.com, a new contemporary Christian church for teens, families and singles that meets Sundays 10:30am at Hotel 304 West on RT 22 in Springfield, is partnering with Johnny Napkins Restaurant to help sponsor its 1st annual tailgate fundraiser. The event occurs n 10/28 between 12-8pm in the hotel parking lot, and will feature a pig roast, silent auction, DJ, Halloween halftime parade, a costume contest and a bunch of kids activities and games.
Best of all for NFL football fans, there will be tailgating and a Jumbotron in the hotel parking lot where both the Giants and Jets games will be broadcast. Does it get any better than that!
All proceeds of this charity event will go directly the Celebrate the Child School, a non-profit, private school for kids with the special needs. CTC serves students aged 3-21, who have a range of challenges in the autism spectrum.
According to Dave Butler, Lead Pastor at Oasis, “since we are a church geared toward compassionately sharing God’s message of love to hurting and hungry people, helping to sponsor this event for autism made perfect sense to us. Many of the people who will be attending this event are not regular churchgoers, and what better way to reach out to them than on their own playing field. We are inviting people to our regular 10:30am service and then if they have nothing to do that afternoon, to join a group of Oasis folks at the event.”
Oasis is a two year old growing church. Meeting weekly at the Springfield location Sundays 10:30, on December 9 at 10:00am, Oasis will be holding it’s second ever service at the Regal Hadley Cinema Stadium at 100o Corporate Ct in South Plainfield. It’s first service here on September 9 attracted over 220 people. The launching of weekly services at this South Plainfield location will occur in 2013
