Star 99.1 Contemporary Radio Church-Oasis-Church-NJ.com
July 30, 2011 by Oasis-Church-NJ.com
Star 99.1 (WAWZ) is a contemporary Christian radio station in the New York (NY) area that has been a blessing to many seeking uplifting contemporary Christian music during the day. Star 99.1 plays music from Hillsong United, and some of the same stuff Oasis plays. Oasis is a NJ church that plays a lot of Hillsong music. The only difference between Star 99.1 and Oasis is that our contemporary Christian rock band plays with a little more “edge”. Nevertheless, Star 99.1 in Zarephath is tops in our book, and has encouraged us throughout the years. Continue the good work Star 99.1.

NJ Missional Church-Oasis Church NJ
July 28, 2011 by Oasis-Church-NJ.com
We consider Oasis-Church-NJ.com to be both an attractional and missional NJ church. While we have have one central gathering on Sundays at 11am for corporate celebration, worship and vision casting, during the week we meet in missional communities called Connect Groups, where we study the Scriptures, “do life together” and engage the culture around us with God’s love in hopes that they too may come to know Jesus. At Oasis being a missional church means being more concerned about the assembly of people than the building or other acutriments that go with it.

Acts 29 Church Planting Network: How it Helps this NJ Church
July 27, 2011 by Oasis-Church-NJ.com
In my opinion the Acts 29 church planting movement is one of the best in the US, and I am happy that the Christian & Missionary Alliance in NJ partners with them. Acts 29 was the brainchild of Mark Driscoll, lead pastor of Mars Hill Church, and exists to help churches and church planters carry on the Great Commission in the 21st Century.
How Acts 29 Movement Helps Oasis Church NJ
Acts 29 is trans-denominational, and provides many church plants, including Oasis-Church-NJ.com, with a plethora of free resources like articles, multi-media, training and other literature that every church planter can use. As a brand new Northern NJ church with a vision to reproduce other church sites and autonomous church plants, I am very grateful for Acts 29 resources, and the dudes who run it.
Currently, Oasis is a 10 month old NJ contemporary church and meets Sundays @ 11am at 1180 Spruce Dr in Mountainside. Come check us out.

Parenthood Week 1-Parenting Tips Podcast
July 17, 2011 by Oasis-Church-NJ.com
Parenting kids in the 21st Century is one of the hardest things to do, but the most worthwhile. This week’s parenting podcast at Oasis centers around Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not turn from it.” The cool thing about this series is that many of the biblical and practical principles discussed here can be applied not only to parent and child, but also to dating and marriage relationships.

NJ Bible Believing Church-Bible Teaching Church
July 4, 2011 by Oasis-Church-NJ.com
Okay, let’s get one thing straight: Oasis-Church-NJ.com is a NJ Bible believing church that holds a high view of the Bible as both inspired by God and inerrant. By inspired, which literally means “God breathed”, we understand that God directed men to write down the exact words he wanted them to convey to the world, and that they contain all the knowledge necessary for salvation and a close relationship with God. By inerrant we mean that the Bible is perfect and without any error in its orignal translation.
Bible Believing Church Teaching Premise
We believe God is a relational being who wants us to be in a close relationship with Him. We also believe primary way He chose to reveal Himself was through the awesome, timeless propositional truths as found in the Bible. Yeah, we actually believe in all those crazy miracles in the Bible like the parting of the Red Sea, Jonah spending time in the belly of a great sea creature and Jesus literally rising from the dead. And while we don’t deny that God reveals Himself through other means such as dreams, visions angelic visitations, etc., we hold that the veracity of every experience, no matter how amazing, must be tested and tried through the lens of Scripture.
Therefore, as a Bible believing church, we feel the best way to convey God’s will for folks is to engage their culture by teaching them them Bible in relevant ways that they can understand. Our Sunday morning worship experiences center around one big idea, while Oasis Connect Groups center around a safe place for digging deeper in Scripture, and making close realtionships with others. Makes sense?
